Three studies, or the complete one. Fixed scope, quoted online.
Pick the outcome you need — safe work on energized gear, a fault that clears without taking the plant down, or equipment you can prove is rated for the duty. Each study is fully independent: arc flash and coordination calculate short circuit values as an input, but the short circuit study's own equipment evaluation is a separate engagement.
Arc Flash Study
How much energy could come out of a panel, and what it takes to work on it safely — calculated at every location, then printed as labels for the equipment.
Incident energy depends on available fault current and how fast your protective devices clear it, so we calculate short circuit values as part of this engagement. Your existing device settings supply the clearing times. That calculation stays behind the scenes here — the equipment rating evaluation and recommendations are the standalone Short Circuit Study's deliverable, a separate, independent report.
Selective Coordination Study
Which device should trip first, and with how much margin — breakers, fuses, and relays timed against each other so a fault clears at the nearest upstream device and the rest of the plant keeps running.
Produces the recommended settings your electricians dial in. Required for emergency, legally required standby, and critical operations power systems. The curves are plotted against short circuit values calculated as part of this study — the standalone Short Circuit Study's equipment evaluation is a separate, independent report.
Short Circuit Study
How much fault current the system can deliver at every bus, and whether the gear installed there is rated to interrupt and withstand it.
On its own it is the fastest study we run, which makes it the right one during design and permitting: size a service, check a utility transformer change, or confirm gear ratings before the purchase order goes out, without waiting on a full package. Its short circuit values also feed the arc flash and selective coordination studies above, but this equipment evaluation and report are exclusive to this study — book it independently to receive them.
Complete Power System Study
Settings recommended for selectivity first, then incident energy calculated from the clearing times those settings actually produce.
Booked separately, the studies are modelled more than once and your labels can end up out of step with your settings. Booked together they cannot.
Done remotely, quoted before we start.
No site visit
Send one-lines and nameplate photos, or capture them in the field app. We tell you what is missing before the quote, not after.
Fixed, not hourly
Scope and fee confirmed in writing before work starts. No change orders unless you change the system.
PE-stamped, tracked
Follow the project by ID from quote to delivery. Sealed by a licensed PE in 24 states and DC.
